Toddler (2-3 years old)
Your childโs brain grows rapidly, reaching about 80% of its adult size by age 3. Over a million neural connections each second are formed. These early years are a time of incredible growth, where every experience shapes long-term learning potential and success.
Our nurturing teachers create a joyful learning environment where your child can explore, experiment, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. With a wide variety of carefully selected toys and activities rotated regularly, thereโs always something new to spark curiosity and build essential skills.

Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to promote a sense of security and belonging. We prioritize safety which allows children to comfortably and independently explore child-sized furniture and age-appropriate toys.

Children thrive in a well-organized routine because it gives them a sense of stability and comfort. Our students can confidently predict daily activities such as meals, nap time, playground times etc. and easily transition between them with a teachers' gentle guidance and visual schedule. Teachers set clear expectations and children can observe their older classmates as models which reduces stress and the fear of the unknown. Maintaining order, consistency and repetition helps children develop healthy habits like handwashing and promotes overall well-being.

Teachers use songs, arts and crafts, storytelling and interactive activities to introduce new concepts in a fun and meaningful way. We have age-appropriate learning objectives to help students meet/exceed developmental milestones. We focus on building vocabulary, communication, senses training, self-help skills, beginning number concepts, comparing, matching and pattern recognition etc. Students will also begin their scientific journey by observing nature and engaging in simple experiments. We plan monthly themes that coincide with major holidays so children gain an awareness and appreciation of the diverse cultures throughout the world.

Teachers nurture emotional and social skills by helping children identify, express, and manage their feelings. With gentle coaching, children communicate their needs, understand othersโ emotions, and respond with kindness. Teachers listen with patience, offer options for comfort, validate all emotions and model empathy. Every school day, we have Spanish Circle, where children learn basic vocabulary through music, singing, movement, and storytelling in a fun and natural way. For those eager to practice more, we offer additional Spanish activities to deepen their learning. Raising multilingual children enhances cognitive development, strengthens memory, and opens doors to numerous future opportunities.
-
We promote healthy physical development by engaging children in activities that build strength, coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. Kicking a ball, climbing on the playground and practicing yoga poses improves their flexibility and control over their bodies. Pouring, digging, sorting, and stacking objects requires greater precision to manipulate materials. These fine motor skills prepare them for early literacy and pre-writing skills which use a pincer grip and refined control.

Students develop a strong foundation in key academic and life skills. Language development flourishes as they explore phonics, reading, and writing using a variety of materials like crayons, markers, pencils, magnets, sand etc. Math and science concepts become more advanced. Students learn to measure, add, subtract, investigate, make predictions and more. We cover life cycles and care for plants. We study the calendar, cultural holidays and the clock as they begin to grasp the concept of time. Students have the opportunity to play instruments and express themselves with art. They are also encouraged to think critically, ask questions, concentrate, and make choices. Teachers make learning exciting by incorporating playful activities, games, hands-on educational tools, creative projects, books, and music and movement. We foster enthusiastic learners by allowing them to make choices and take an active role in their learning. Teachers introduce small responsibilities that cultivate decision making and problem-solving skills. We explain the value of caring for belongings and for the environment. Students then see how their actions influence themselves and those around them. Students are taught practical life skills like pouring a drink, wiping up a spill, putting toys away and offering to help others etc. With higher degrees of independence and autonomy students take pride in accomplishing a task on their own and are self-assured enough to attempt new tasks. Our class equips students with essential skills and knowledge that prepares them to enter first grade and succeed in the years to come.

Early exposure to world languages provides countless benefits for young children, including a cognitive advantage and stronger social skills. Research shows that before age 10, the brain is highly receptive to language acquisition, but after it becomes extremely challenging to acquire a new language at native proficiency. Regular exposure to Spanish during our circles strengthens phonemic awareness and builds a strong foundation for future language learning.
-
As children grow, their physical abilities become more refined and complex. We spend time outside on the playground every day weather permitting. Students enjoy tricycles, throwing balls with increased accuracy and active exercise. In the classroom, students develop dexterity through cutting with scissors, using tweezers and pipettes, painting and holding a pencil. Teachers provide an assortment of fun games that build hand-eye coordination, which prepares students for writing and other core activities.

FAQ
Will learning English & Spanish at school hinder my child?
No, children have the ability to easily learn additional languages alongside their primary one. Current studies indicate that exposure to multiple languages does not impede language development or cause delays. Brain development research tells us that the language portion of the brain is the most active between the ages of two and five. Children exposed to world languages create pathways in the brain that allows for native pronunciation and easier language learning throughout their entire life.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
No, our teachers are happy to help your child with diapers and offer potty training support for the Toddler class. Primary class students should be fully potty trained, but we understand that occasional accidents happen and they are not a problem.
Is this a religious school? Do we need to be religious to enroll our child?
No, we do not provide religious instruction. Our school is open to everyone. Our teachers and students come from many different backgrounds. We accept children of all races, cultures, religions, genders and beliefs.
What is your behavioral management & discipline policy?
We implement positive reinforcement and indirect and direct guidance. Physical punishments are strictly forbidden. Our teachers are very empathetic and seek to understand the need or motivation behind each studentโs behavior. We have a vast array of techniques to teach children self-regulation, healthy communication and self-expression.
Do you have strict age limits for classes?
No, we assess each childโs readiness and understand that children progresses in different areas at individual paces. We offer activities requiring a variety of skill levels without limiting them by age. Once a student demonstrates the skill sets at school showing they are ready for the next level, we can help transition classes.
Do you provide snacks and lunch?
Yes, healthy morning and afternoon snacks are provided daily, included in tuition fees. Breakfast is also served between 8-9am (optional). We also offer an optional hot school lunch for an additional fee that is prepared on site daily. If you prefer to pack lunch, teachers can help reheat it at school. We follow a strict No Nuts policy because of allergies.
