Hands-On Learning Center knows that identifying and enriching each student's talents is rewarding for all teachers. Toward achieving that philosophy, outside professionals supplement Hands-On's own staff. Here, an instructor from Joyful Melodies™ conducts an on-site Music class. Other optional classes, including Gymnastics, are also brought to the campus to faciliate student participation and help the student learn in a comfortable, loving environment.


    The A-BEKA Curriculum

    From documented educational research, we know that children learn by doing. It is through active involvement with their environment that they make sense of the world around them. They learn by observing what happens when they interact with materials and other people.

    In our daily schedule we incorporate the A-BEKA Program (a program that combines structure with the hands on learning) and our exclusive "Hands-On Center." These Hands-On Learning theories benefit children in multiple ways.

    The A-BEKA curriculum is an outstanding academic program. The major lesson areas presented are phonics, reading, math, science, language arts, musical studies, manipulative skills, bible lessons and art.

    Hands-On Learning Center enables the children to play with real objects as they use language, symbols and classifications. This creative curriculum emphasizes children's direct manipulation of materials so they can build on their repertoires of experience. The object of the curriculum strategies is to help children learn to solve problems. This helps children label and organize their world.

    Our main purpose is to provide a second loving atmosphere for your child. All parents are encouraged to stop in and visit with your child at any time. Your child's school experience should be a happy one for everyone involved.
